The First Screening of ‪‎LWPP's Documentary Film ‪

On December 10th 2015, In celebration of Human Rights Day, LWPP held the first public screening of #JusticeForSalwa film in Benghazi, Salwa Bughaigis's hometown.

Later in the evening of the same day, #JusticeForSalwa Film was screened in Tunis at the Canadian Embassy. The event was co-organized by the Dutch & the Canadian Embassies and attended by Libyan civil society activists & representatives of international organizations.

The screening of the film was followed by an interactive discussion session with the audience. Panelists who participated in the session were Azza Maghur, Zahra Langhi, Marwan Tashani and Mohamed al-Jareh.  The panelists addressed the following topics addressed : The human right defenders position in Libya (political and security polarization effect on Human right defenders, the state position in defending human rights), transitional justice (impunity and accountability), human right violations and the Government of National Accord future position and their role in securing human rights and civil liberties. 

#JusticeForSalwa was also screened exclusively by Libya's leading national channel, Libya HD Channel.
